Heathens! with Jackie and Edward  'reading loudly and doubting proudly…'  Join the legendary Jackie Juno and the notorious Edward Tripp for a heathenous double-bill of poetic chaos. (Non-pagans welcome)  At last! - on October 22nd 2026, the waxing gibbous Moon will pass very close to the star Regulus in the constellation Leo. Venus will be edging Saturn and Saturn will (in turn) be practically fisting Neptune. BUT WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN?! – It means that Jackie and Ed’s diaries have finally aligned for a ‘once in a millennium’ gig. Full alignment will occur in the Barrel House, Totnes October 22nd @ 7:30pm Tickets are either £12 or £10 (pay what you can afford) - or £15 if you’re feeling generous x But who are these Heathens?     Jackie Juno is a multiple poetry slam winner, and the only person to have won the coveted Glastonbury Festival Poetry Slam twice. She has been a finalist in many international competitions for her short stories, flash fiction and poetry, including Arvon, Writing Magazine and Mslexia. She has performed her poetry at two TEDx Talks. She held the title Bard of Exeter 2011-2012 and Grand Bard of Exeter 2012-2019. She has published six poetry collections, and has created six mutli-media solo shows. ‘Jackie is warm and witty, frank and feisty, but above all, very very funny.’ Matt Harvey, Poet (Radio 4) Edward Tripp Edward is an award winning Northern Irish comedian, poet and former Bard of Exeter. Known for props, music and the occasional theatrical effect, Edward has brought his unique brand of spoken word poetry to comedy nights, festivals and spoken word events all over the UK. Edward Tripp also received the perilous accolade of being the only UK City Bard to hold a poetry ‘anti-slam’ title at the same time as his Bardship.
