Andrew Maxwell, Tania Edwards, & Carmel Moore - Dún Laoghaire - Nov 6

Dún Laoghaire Comedy Festival, sponsored by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, returns this November for its fifth year — bigger and better than ever. See Andrew Maxwell headline a night of comedy at The Purty Kitchen, Dún Laoghaire on November 6th suported by the hilarious Tania Edwards and Carmel Moore. ★★★★★ “A master-class in mirth. Sublime timing, relaxed delivery style, killer punch-lines: the holy trinity of stand-up are all present and correct. Go see a craftsman at work” - The Herald The double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and one of Ireland’s favourite storytellers, Andrew Maxwell is returning to his home island to do what he does best – find the funny in everything going on in this crazy world today and, let’s be fair, being damned good at it. Maxwell’s twenty-plus years of TV appearances include Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, QI, Richard Osman’s House of Games, I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, Pointless Celebrities and Live at the Apollo - and is also the recognisable voice behind MTV’s hit show Ex On The Beach. He has even won Celebrity Mastermind which, for anyone who has been in a room with him for more than 5 minutes, will come as no surprise. ★★★★★ “A force to be reckoned with… Andrew Maxwell brought the house down” - Voice Mag UK Supported by TANIA EDWARDS ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ BBC Arts Desk *I strongly advise you to ignore anything issuing from the BBC with the exception of these richly deserved stars.  “outrageous humour… Tania Edwards has mastered her craft” ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Ed Fest Mag“brilliantly dark jokes” ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Voice CARMEL MOORE: Carmel Moore is disappointed in life, in love, and in most buffet breakfasts. After a successful career as a Chartered Accountant, she turned to comedy in a desperate bid to stop "Tax Director" being the most interesting thing carved onto her headstone. She is exceptional in a crisis, world-class in a queue, and largely useless in deep water. If all else fails, she can do your VAT return. "A thoroughly enjoyable set."Stephen K.
