Johnny Dowd

American singer/songwriter/cult hero Johnny Dowd returns to the UK with Mike Stark and Mark Lotterman, playing songs from his first two albums, Wrong Side of Memphis and Pictures From Life’s Other Side. Its a couple decades since we actually booked Johnny but it will be worth the wait…. More than 25 years on, the songs on his debut & second albums remain as strange, darkly funny and uncompromising as ever. Past, present and future collide in a once-in-a-lifetime musical introspective. Johnny says ” . I am really looking forward to this one. Come see me before it’s too late.” “If Willie Nelson turned into Mr. Hyde, he’d be Johnny Dowd. Backwoods Gothic tales of love & death” – New York Times Video Spotify
